a bit of audio/action.
[audio]
[There is not a lot to the audio from Maiza today. Nobody is talking, but there is definitely something there, and that something is definitely attacking the journal. It hits it, sharply, then shoves it across -- judging from the sound of leaves and dirt dislodged by the moving journal -- the forest floor. It's followed by the rustle of wings close by the book, and some more scratching as the journal moves again.
The wings make noise again, although this time it sounds like it's flying. Clumsily so, one might note. The entry ends with the sound of wind blowing past and a loud thud as the journal hits the forest floor. Whatever bird was carrying Maiza's journal, it couldn't keep its grip.]
[action later on #1; the fountain]
[A couple hours after the entry, there is a brown owl sitting on the fountain in the village. He looks exhausted as he slumps on the journal he's got with him and hoots miserably at whoever passes by. Sometimes he spreads out his wings and rustles it to try to get attention, especially at people who Maiza Avaro may recognize. He's hungry. He's tired. Please help.]
[action #2; community house 7, floor 5 room 23]
[It's later in the afternoon, closer to evening, when an owl smacks into the window. It might have looked like it was trying to headbutt its way through the glass, but it's hard to tell. It disappears for a minute and returns to the window again, flying a little less steadily and now with a journal clasped in its talons. It stays at the window hoping someone will open it.]

[Action #1] ~Have a Vulcan~
....it sounded incredibly like a dejected owl. On further inspection, strangely enough, it was.
Spock approached the bird...saw the journal, and made an assumption...]
Greetings... I am Spock. Are you perhaps suffering from a Malnosso effect?
[Action] I will gladly accept this :)
:3
I am a touch telepath.... it would be much easier to communicate if I utilize this. Do I have your permission?

She approaches carefully, trying not to frighten it away.]
Hello there.
[She glances again at the journal, wondering who it could belong to.]
[action]
When he sees her looking at the journal, he hoots again and steps off it.]
[action]
Oh! You must be monsieur Maiza's bird. What are you doing out here all alone?
[Not actually expecting an answer, she holds a hand out for the owl to step into.] Come now, I'll help you find him.

[Action #1!]
He's slowly going to come over to investigate now. Poor thing looks exhausted.]
Uh...hello?
[Action!]
He wonders if animals in Luceti talk often because people keep talking to him despite being an owl. Then again, people in his world have chatted to animals too. Maiza gives a hoot!
Hello.]
[Action!]
Hey there, is this yours? [Pointing to the journal.]

[action #2]
He yawns, adjusts his hat, and stretches. Couches are just too comfortable sometimes. Now that he's awake, though, there's nothing better to keep him there than a strong cup of tea. He'll just go fire up the kettle now... and by "fire up" he means "plug in".]
[action]
and decides that'll hurt and so he practices a couple times before he swings down and let's go of his journal! It smacks into the glass instead of his body.]

But that noise is clearly intentional now, so Layton leaves his kettle to investigate. Nothing inside the flat looks out of sorts, so he takes a look out the window instead to see... an owl with a journal? Well, color him curious. Without further ado, he slides the window open and steps aside to let the bird in.]

Ah...! Mozza! It's been a while, hasn't it? I almost finished completely forgetting who you were.

But he's kind of filled with the realization that someone recognized him right off the bat and while he doesn't know how Panda recognizing him would be of any good to him (yet) but it's nice to know that someone recognized him at all! Even if he said he almost forgot.
He hoots a little grumpily at Panda. Help.]

[He finishes walking over to the fountain and tilts his head while regarding the immortal. Something definitely isn't right about this situation, but what is it?]
You look different somehow. Did you clean your feathers?

[Action 1]
Huh. What're you doin' outta the woods?
[He doesn't really expect any sort of answer as he debates whether or not he should try getting closer and poking the thing.]
[Action 1]
How glad he is to see Firo! He was hoping for anyone he knew, whether it be a girl he met just once or his flatmates, but seeing his good friend and Family member would have made him smile if he had the cheek muscles to pull up.
But poking isn't that appreciated, Firo. The owl in him is a little offended.]
[Action 1]
Geez! Um... sorry?

[action #2!!!]
He walks over to the window and opens it, leaning his head out a bit to look around but spots nothing at first. That is until he goes to lean back inside and watches an owl fly up to his level.]
...An owl. [Really. Why are there owls now smacking his window now]
[action]
He hoots again. He's so glad to see you! He honestly thought he might be stuck out here forever. It's hard to fly and he's hungry but rats don't sound as pleasant as much as he feels they could be tasty.]
[action]
It's.
On his head.
He blinks for a moment then starts to flail his arms at the owl that's on top of his head to try and get it off.] Get off of me!! [Sorry Maiza he has no idea it's you]
