[The first problem was that neither of them knew where they were or how they got here or what was going one. The second problem was that Czeslaw was definitely acting actually ten years old and didn't know anything about immortals or immortality of even knew all that much about who Maiza was. And Maiza couldn't figure why this was happening. Answers, when you're lucky, tend to float around in your vicinity, and so they'd looked around the house they were in. So they looked around! And they didn't find any answers but they did find a large box of what Czes found familiar but couldn't figure out the name of, something Maiza recognized as dominoes. Czes was fretting, as Czeslaws tend to do before they grow immortal and two hundred years old, so they attempted to play a game but try as he might, Maiza couldn't get him to understand the rules and how-to of domino games and it really was boring for a kid like Czes.

Which is how, in the early afternoon, there is one grown man and one little child crouched outside on the steps with a bunch of dominos lined up and a pile of them waiting to be lined up. At one point, Czes tries to place one down at the end of the line but it tips over, sending the rest of their dominos falling down as well and both of them let out a surprised, "Aah!" before Maiza is laughing and Czes is sulking because this is probably the third time he's knocked it over. Would you care to join them, or wander over and ask what they're up to?]

[[ooc: both Czes and Maiza will (should) be responding to this! They're both affected by the event thing and Czes is from the 1700s while Maiza's returned to the beginning of the first novel (1930).

eta: this is written in a way that sounds like day 1, but there's no hard timeline! it can be any day]]
